The ToS will likely answer most of your questions, but here's some more answers if you're looking for them.

Who created the site?

@brains481, who is writing this in the third person like the tool he is. The underlying software is from Discourse, with some modifications. That said, the ethos of the site was inspired by multiple people disenchanted with the state of other communities, but ballsack491 or whatever actually went and made a whole new forum to fulfill that void, because he has no life.

However, @Munimul cannot be thanked or credited enough, as he gave us the outcasty domain name, which was previously used for another forum which sadly didn't pan out.

Who funds the site?

You! Unless you're a cheapskate.

We're committed to making the site as democratic as possible, so relying on a select few donors or advertising was out of the question, so this site is entirely user funded and ad-free, which helps us remain 100% independent and unbeholden to nothing but our own preference for a forum with as little moderation as possible. Your donations keep the site up and running, ad-free, and hopefully one day, we can invest in faster and more secure servers to make the Outcasty experience even better. You can donate through the link in the header, or if you're on mobile, from the menu to the the left of your avatar and the right of the search icon.

If I notice a bug, have a problem with another user(s) or injure myself while attempting to suck my own dick, who can I contact?

Except for the last one, maybe just talk to @jersey, I have a feeling he's been in a situation like that for some reason.

Is there gas in the car?

Yes, there's gas in the car.

Can I swear?

Can I post about my ravenous sexual desire for fisting people who dress up as anthropomorphic animal characters, complete with photos?

As long as it's legal, and you censor it to mark it as NSFW or put it in a thread under the NSFW category, explicit content is all good here. To do that, when you're making a post, click "spolier" under the gear icon when you're writing out your content, and make sure the NSFW content, whether that be an image or text, is within the two bits of spoiler text, so the content is blurred out until the user hovers over the content and clicks it.

What happens if I don't mark it NSFW?

You get a demerit.

What's a demerit?

Three demerits and you'll receive a citation.

Now that sounds serious.

Oh, it is serious. Five citations and you're looking at a violation. Four of those and you'll receive a verbal warning. Keep it up, and you're looking at a written warning. Two of those, that'll land you in a world of hurt in the form of a disciplinary review written up by me and placed on the desk of my immediate superior.

Which would be you...

...Next question.

Can I refuse to accept that I don't have a real argument and just start spewing racist/homophobic/transphobic et. al. gobbledigook?

As noted in the ToS, we welcome and even encourage spirited, heated discussions between people from the full spectrum of beliefs, whether they be political, religious etc. However, there's a difference between heated debate between warring ideas or sides, and childish, hateful bigotry, and the latter is not welcome here. We get that the line between the two can be blurred nowadays, and although we're comitted to having the site be a place where people of all stripes can engage with each other and their respective viewpoints, we also have to draw the line at someone just being a racist cunt for the sake of it.
